The Firewood Company delivers kaggelhout, braai wood, Namibian hardwood and charcoal to Newlands, Rondebosch, Rosebank and Mowbray for R300 per drop. Deliveries run Monday to Friday, typically within 1–2 business days. Offloading and stacking the bags included.

Newlands is the wettest suburb in Cape Town, and among the first to lose the light. Table Mountain stands directly to the west, so by mid-afternoon in June the sun has gone behind it, and the streets between Newlands Avenue and the Liesbeek are in shade while Sea Point still has an hour of sun. Down the slope, Rondebosch, Rosebank and Mowbray get the same weather a little later, on the same kind of house: Victorian and Edwardian, sash windows, a chimney on the gable and the original hearth still in the front room. The Liesbeek runs cold through all of them. Between them, Newlands, Rondebosch, Rosebank and Mowbray buy more from us than any other postcode in Cape Town, and it is those hearths doing it — not a feature fireplace, a working one, lit most nights from the first cold front.
