Delivery to Stellenbosch
The Firewood Company delivers kaggelhout, braai wood, Namibian hardwood and charcoal to Stellenbosch, Mostertsdrift, Krigeville, Die Boord, Paradyskloof, Idas Valley, Jonkershoek and Devon Valley for R300 per drop. Deliveries run Monday to Friday, typically within 1–2 business days. Offloading and stacking the bags included.
Delivery fee: R300 flat, whatever you order. No minimum.
Delivery days: Monday to Friday. Typical turnaround is 1–2 business days; in peak winter weeks it can stretch to 2–4. The turnaround for your order is shown at checkout before you pay, and we update it as demand changes.
Cut-off: order by Thursday 15:00 to be on Friday’s run. After the cut-off the wood normally waits for the next run, so ask rather than assume.
Offloading and stacking the bags: included. Unbagging is R10 a bag, added at checkout.
Access: term-time Stellenbosch is a grid of one-ways and Dorp Street parking is a negotiation. Leave a cellphone number the driver can reach on the day, and say where he can stand for ten minutes without blocking the street.

Stellenbosch is an oak town, and the oaks tell you how the cold works here. Which wood suits an old Stellenbosch fireplace?
Bloekom for a deep open hearth — it catches easily and burns evenly. For a closed-combustion unit, kameeldoring or the Namibian hardwood mix gives more heat out of fewer pieces. For a small hearth in a student house, Short Pieces are cut for exactly that at R99.
We farm on the R44. Can we order loose wood?
From October to March, yes. Loose blue gum and blackwattle come in 250, 500 or 1,000 pieces at R550, R1,100 and R2,000, tipped and offloaded where you point. Loose wood is sold as-is for buyers with covered storage and carries no Dry Guarantee — the bagged wood is the wood that does.
Do you deliver over the university holidays?
Yes. The Winelands run is Monday to Friday all year. December and January are quiet on the student streets and busy on the farms, which suits the truck either way — order by Thursday 15:00 and you are on Friday’s load.
