Delivery to the Northern Suburbs
The Firewood Company delivers firewood, braai wood, Namibian hardwood and charcoal to Durbanville, Bellville, Welgemoed, Plattekloof, Panorama, Brackenfell, Kraaifontein, Goodwood and Parow for R200 per drop. Deliveries run Monday to Saturday, typically within 1–2 business days. Collection from the factory shop at 35 Tredoux Street, Parow — Monday to Friday 08:00–16:30, Saturday 08:00–12:45.
Delivery fee: R200 flat to any Northern Suburbs address.
Delivery days: Monday to Saturday. Typical turnaround is 1–2 business days; in peak winter weeks it can stretch to 2–4. The turnaround for your order is shown at checkout before you pay, and we update it as demand changes.
Cut-off: order by Friday 15:00 to be on Saturday’s run. Orders after that can sometimes be squeezed onto Friday morning’s trucks if there’s space — ask, don’t count on it.
Offloading and stacking the bags: included. We carry them to your wood store, garage or braai and stack them neatly where you want them — put it in the order notes and it’s handled. Unbagging — emptying the bags onto your pile — is R10 a bag, added at checkout.
Minimum order: none — order what you need.
Collecting instead? The factory shop is at 35 Tredoux Street, Parow — Monday to Friday 08:00–16:30, Saturday 08:00–12:45. If you’re in Parow, Goodwood or Monte Vista, a bakkie and ten minutes will save you the delivery fee entirely, and we’ll load it for you. The yard where the wood is processed is two doors down at No. 31; the shop is No. 35.

This is the busiest corner of our map, and the order book has a shape to it.
More households in Durbanville order from us than in any other suburb in Cape Town. It’s the hills doing it: houses built with a fireplace and a built-in braai and, increasingly, a pizza oven, on plots big enough that running out on a Saturday is a genuine inconvenience rather than a quick trip to the garage. So this is what we’d put on the truck for a Durbanville house — kaggelhout for the hearth, kameeldoring for the braai, and a bag of lump charcoal for the oven, in quantities that last.
Bellville, Parow and Goodwood run differently. Older houses, smaller yards, and a lot of customers who have been buying from us for years because the yard is up the road and always has been. These are the steady, repeat orders rather than the seasonal stock-up — and some of them collect rather than have it delivered.
Up on the Plattekloof and Welgemoed ridge it’s entertaining wood. Long tables, the bay in the distance, and closed-combustion fireplaces that want hardwood rather than a mix.
Blue Gum / Bloekom Seasoned ±20kg — R109 — the winter staple and the nightly-burner buy. Lights easily and settles into a long, steady burn.
Kameeldoring ±18kg — R120 — dense, slow, hot coals that hold. For closed-combustion units, for a braai that has to last an afternoon, and for the fire everyone ends up staring into.
Blackwattle Seasoned ±20kg — R109 — denser than bloekom, hotter, longer, and genuinely good cooking coals. The braai wood for people who want hardwood behaviour at local prices.

25 years, and the yard hasn’t moved
We started in 2001 with a load of wood and a bakkie, in Parow. The company is still in Parow, and some of the customers on this route have been with us longer than our drivers have.
That is most of what there is to say about the Northern Suburbs. We are not delivering into this region from somewhere else — we are delivering out of the middle of it. The truck is loaded ten minutes from your house, by people who have been loading it for a long time.
