Kindling / Starters (Premium) is untreated wood, hand-selected for consistent size, so every stick behaves the same way under the wood — and because it is untreated, it is the kindling for a closed-combustion fireplace, where the Pine bag (made from recycled pine) should not be used. It takes a flame straight away and burns hot enough to get dense Namibian hardwood going without a second attempt.

If your fires start slowly — a damp evening, stubborn kameeldoring, guests already holding a glass — this is the fix. One handful under the wood, one firelighter, done. The pine bag is the everyday choice for an open fire or a braai; this is the one for a closed-combustion unit, and for when the fire has to work first time.
