Delivery to Hout Bay & Llandudno
The Firewood Company delivers kaggelhout, braai wood, Namibian hardwood and charcoal to Hout Bay, the valley smallholdings and Llandudno for R350 per drop. Deliveries run Monday to Friday, typically within 1–2 business days. Offloading and stacking the bags included.
Delivery fee: R350 flat, whatever you order. No minimum. Hout Bay and Llandudno are postcode 7806 — the same zone as Constantia, and R145 under the far end of the peninsula.
Delivery days: Monday to Friday. Typical turnaround is 1–2 business days; in peak winter weeks it can stretch to 2–4. The turnaround for your order is shown at checkout before you pay, and we update it as demand changes.
Cut-off: order by Thursday 15:00 to be on Friday’s run. Later than that, a Friday morning truck occasionally has a space — worth a WhatsApp, not worth planning around.
Offloading and stacking the bags: included. Unbagging is R10 a bag, added at checkout.

Hout Bay & Llandudno: the local paragraph
Hout Bay is a valley with one mouth to the sea, and it keeps its weather. Mist comes off the Sentinel and sits over the harbour into the morning, the ground under the trees along Hout Bay Main Road stays wet a week after the rain stopped, and a stack left in the open here will not be worth much by August. Up the valley the plots get bigger — paddocks and stables, a hedge where other suburbs have a wall, a wood store in a barn rather than a cupboard. Llandudno is the other extreme: houses stepped down the granite towards the beach off Victoria Road, parking above the front door and a flight of stairs between the two. Between them sits the harbour, and the kitchens along it cooking over coals most nights of the year.

R350 flat, whether you order two bags or twenty, across Hout Bay, the valley and Llandudno. Postcode 7806 is the same zone as Constantia; the rest of the peninsula is R495. Your fee shows at checkout before you pay.
Our wood store is under trees and never really dries out. What do you suggest?
A roof and moving air. Keep the stack clear of the soil, put something solid over the top and leave the ends open so the valley wind gets through. With nowhere covered at all, buy bagged rather than loose — bagged wood is seasoned and stored under cover before it reaches you.
Can you get down to a Llandudno house below the road?
Usually. Tell us where a truck can stop, roughly how many steps there are and whether the wood goes to a store, a garage or the braai, and the driver brings the right number of hands. Llandudno has no shops and no reason for a truck to be there twice, so that detail saves a second trip.
Do you deliver loose loads to a smallholding up the valley?
From October to March — 250, 500 or 1,000 pieces of blue gum or blackwattle at R550, R1,100 or R2,000, delivered and offloaded where you say. Loose wood is sold as-is for buyers with covered storage and carries no Dry Guarantee. From April we deliver bagged only.
Is your wood actually dry?
