Delivered & stacked in Green Point & Mouille Point · Delivery R300

Braai charcoal, briquettes, Heat Logs and kaggelhout delivered to Green Point, Mouille Point, Three Anchor Bay and the V&A Waterfront apartments for R300 — up the lift, past the concierge and stacked on the balcony.

This is apartment country with a sea view and a north-wester. The order here is a bag of briquettes for the balcony kettle and a bag of Heat Logs for the closed fireplace, not a truckload for a wood store.

Delivery to Green Point & Mouille Point

The Firewood Company delivers charcoal, briquettes, Heat Logs, kaggelhout and braai wood to Green Point, Mouille Point, Three Anchor Bay and the residential blocks of the V&A Waterfront for R300 per drop. Deliveries run Monday to Friday, typically within 1–2 business days, and the driver brings the bags up in the lift and stacks them on the balcony, at the fireplace or in the store — that is in the fee.

Delivery fee: R300 flat from the Waterfront marina apartments along Beach Road to Three Anchor Bay and up to the streets behind the stadium, whatever the size of the order. No minimum — one bag of charcoal is a normal order here.

Delivery days: Monday to Friday. Most Green Point orders arrive within 1–2 business days; when the first north-wester of winter has every block on Beach Road ordering in the same week, allow 2–4. Checkout shows the current turnaround before you pay.

Cut-off: Thursday 15:00 for Friday’s Atlantic Seaboard run. Later than that, us — if the Friday truck has room we add you, but we would rather tell you the next run than let you down.

Blocks, lifts and concierges: put the building name, the flat number, whether there is a lift and how the driver gets past the desk in the order notes. If the concierge can take delivery, say so and we drop with them. That one line is the difference between a two-minute drop and a twenty-minute phone call.

Carry-in and stacking: in the fee, lift or stairs. If you would rather have the wood loose than in bags, unbagging is R10 a bag at checkout — though in a flat the bag is usually the store.

Storing it on a balcony: salt air and the north-wester will get into a bag on an open balcony within a few weeks. Keep it in the bag, off the floor, against the inside wall and covered on top, and order a month at a time rather than a season.

Beach Road, the stadium and the Waterfront

Green Point and Mouille Point are the Atlantic Seaboard’s apartment belt — the blocks along Beach Road looking straight out over the promenade to Robben Island, the newer towers around the stadium and the Urban Park, the marina apartments inside the V&A Waterfront, and behind them, up towards Signal Hill, the older Green Point streets of Victorian cottages and semis that still have a fireplace in the front room. Somerset Road and Main Road run through the middle with the restaurants, and the whole place fills on a summer Friday when the sun goes down behind the sea.

The housing decides the order. Most of what we deliver here goes up a lift: Namib charcoal and briquettes for a kettle braai on a balcony, where an open wood fire is not an option, and Heat Logs for the closed-combustion fireplaces the newer blocks were built with — clean, low-ash, no bark to sweep off the tiles. The older cottages behind Main Road order the way the rest of the Seaboard does, bloekom by the half-dozen bags from May when the north-wester sets in. Restaurants along Somerset Road and in the Waterfront take restaurant-grade lump charcoal by the standing order. The truck comes in from Parow on the N1 and down the Buitengracht in twenty-five minutes, and Beach Road is the last leg before the run carries on to Sea Point.

What Green Point & Mouille Point orders

Namib Briquettes 4kg — R55 — steady, uniform heat that holds longer than lump — the balcony kettle bag, lid down against the wind, a whole chicken or anything low and slow.

Namibian Hardwood Eco Heat Logs — R115 — compressed hardwood with no bark, very little ash and a long, steady burn — the clean choice for a closed fireplace in an apartment.

Blue Gum / Bloekom Seasoned ±20kg — R109 — for the older Green Point cottages with an open hearth. Lights first time and burns long and even through a wet evening off the sea.

Green Point & Mouille Point firewood delivery — FAQ

How much is firewood or charcoal delivery to Green Point or Mouille Point?

R300 flat per drop, the same for Three Anchor Bay and the Waterfront apartments, and the same for one bag of charcoal or ten bags of wood. Checkout shows it before you pay.

Can you deliver to a flat in a block on Beach Road?

Yes — that is most of what we do here. Put the building name, the flat number, whether there is a lift and how the driver gets past the desk in the order notes. If the concierge can take delivery, tell us and we drop with them.

Do you deliver into the V&A Waterfront residential blocks?

Yes. Give us the building, the flat number and the access arrangement in the order notes — the marina blocks have their own security and the driver needs to know who to ask for. If you are not sure, us the details.

What can I braai on, on a balcony?

Namib charcoal or briquettes in a kettle braai with the lid down — no open wood fire, less smoke for the neighbours, and the lid keeps the wind out of it. Briquettes hold a steadier temperature for longer; lump lights faster and sears harder. Check your block’s rules on braaiing before you light anything.

Which wood for a closed-combustion fireplace in an apartment?

Heat Logs — compressed Namibian hardwood with no bark, very little ash and a long, steady burn, so there is less to carry in and less to sweep out. Blackwattle is the alternative if you prefer a natural log. Either way, store it inside, not on the balcony.

Is the wood dry when it arrives?

Yes. Every bag is seasoned and kept under cover at our Parow yard until it goes on the truck, so it lights properly and burns hot instead of hissing. That is the Dry Guarantee we have stood behind for 25 years: if a bag disappoints, tell us and we make it right. Keep it inside and the sea air never gets a say. Read the Dry Guarantee.

Do you deliver to Green Point on a Saturday?

No — the Atlantic Seaboard run is Monday to Friday. Order by Thursday 15:00 and Friday’s truck has the bags upstairs before the weekend. The factory shop at 35 Tredoux Street, Parow is open Saturdays 08:00–12:45 for collection.

Do you supply the restaurants on Somerset Road, Main Road and in the Waterfront?

Yes. Restaurant-grade lump charcoal, briquettes, kameeldoring and firewood in quantity, on a standing order that runs with the Atlantic Seaboard run days and lands at the kitchen door. LP gas through our sister company Help U Gas. us for trade pricing.

Order for the next Atlantic Seaboard run

Order by Thursday 15:00 and Friday’s truck comes down Buitengracht with your bags — up the lift and stacked where you want them.
