Delivery to Sea Point & Fresnaye
The Firewood Company delivers heat logs, short pieces, kaggelhout and charcoal to Sea Point, Fresnaye, Bantry Bay, Green Point, Mouille Point and Three Anchor Bay for R350 per drop. Deliveries run Monday to Friday, typically within 1–2 business days. Offloading and stacking the bags included.
Delivery fee: R350 flat, whatever you order. No minimum.
Delivery days: Monday to Friday. Typical turnaround is 1–2 business days; in peak winter weeks it can stretch to 2–4. The turnaround for your order is shown at checkout before you pay, and we update it as demand changes.
Cut-off: order by Thursday 15:00 to be on Friday’s run. After that, ask — there is sometimes space on a Friday morning truck, but don’t count on it.

Access: almost every address between Mouille Point and Bantry Bay is a block rather than a house — a bay in the basement, one lift, and a desk that wants a name before the boom goes up. The order notes are where that gets solved: which building, which entrance, and who the driver reports to on arrival. One rule, so nobody is surprised at the door: bags go up only where there is a service lift. No service lift, and we stack them in your ground-floor garage or parking bay instead.
Sea Point & Fresnaye: the local paragraph
Sea Point is four kilometres long and about three streets deep, and each of the three does a different job. The Promenade and Beach Road take the weather first: a winter north-wester arrives off the Atlantic with nothing in front of it and leaves salt on the glass from Mouille Point round to Bantry Bay. Behind them Main Road carries the shops and the older blocks, and behind that the ground goes up hard — High Level Road, then Ocean View Drive, then the Fresnaye avenues and Kloof Road climbing under Lion’s Head. That climb is also the change in housing stock. Down on the flat it is sectional title: a balcony, a small open hearth or a closed unit, and a store cupboard that will take a few bags and not a winter’s worth. Up on the slope the houses are single-owner, with a full-size fireplace and a terrace to stack against. Come summer the south-easter wraps round Signal Hill and drops onto Green Point, so an open balcony is not a wood store on either street. No postcode on the Atlantic Seaboard sends us more orders than this one.

Can you deliver into a block with a security desk and one lift?
Yes, and most of what we drop here is exactly that. We need the building name, which entrance the truck should use, the flat number, and a heads-up if the desk has to phone you before anyone comes up. If the block has a service lift, the bags go up in it and get stacked where you want them — balcony corner, store cupboard, next to the unit. No service lift, and they are stacked in your ground-floor garage or parking bay — say which in the order notes.
Where should I keep wood on a balcony this close to the sea?
Covered on top, off the tiles, and against the wall rather than the railing — sea air takes the edge off a good bag left open to it. If there is no covered corner, order a week at a time and let the wood stay dry in our shed rather than on your balcony.
