Delivery to Noordhoek & Sun Valley
The Firewood Company delivers firewood, braai wood, Namibian hardwood and charcoal to Noordhoek and Sun Valley for R495 per drop. Deliveries run Monday to Friday, typically within 1–2 business days. Offloading and stacking the bags included.
Delivery fee: R495 flat, whatever you order. No minimum. Noordhoek is postcode 7979 and Sun Valley is 7985 — two postcodes at the far-south end of the run, one number for both. Kommetjie and Capri are not on the route.
Delivery days: Monday to Friday. Typical turnaround is 1–2 business days; in peak winter weeks it can stretch to 2–4. The turnaround for your order is shown at checkout before you pay, and we update it as demand changes.
Cut-off: order by Thursday 15:00 to be on Friday’s run. Miss it and the certain answer is the following week — ask anyway, a Friday gap does come up.
Offloading and stacking the bags: included. Unbagging is R10 a bag, added at checkout. Loose loads are tipped and offloaded where you say.

Access: long drives off Noordhoek Main Road, gravel that softens after rain, gates set well back from the house. Sun Valley is simpler: a driveway at the gate on most stands, so it is only a question of front, back or garage.
Noordhoek & Sun Valley: the local paragraph
The floor of the Noordhoek valley is wetland and it behaves like one. The marsh behind Long Beach holds water right through winter, the horses come off the sand wet to the knee, and the plots either side of Noordhoek Main Road run long and back onto reeds rather than a neighbour — gravel drives, a gate at the road, the house out of sight of both. The mountain takes the light early on this side and the damp settles in behind it: the fire gets lit in April and the wood store matters by May. Chapman’s Peak Drive, the pretty road in, shuts in high wind, heavy rain and rockfall; Ou Kaapse Weg over Silvermine is the other way through, and anyone living here knows both. Sun Valley is the newer, denser half of the same valley: smaller stands, a built-in braai on most patios, a wood store the size of a cupboard and no barn to fill.
What we’d put on the truck for a Noordhoek plot: a loose load in October to season through summer, six blackwattle for the fire pit, four Namibian Hardwood Mix for the hearth. For a Sun Valley patio: two blackwattle and a bag of briquettes.

Namib Briquettes 4kg — R60 — uniform, and they hold a steady temperature better than lump does. Built for a small patio braai with the lid down, which is most of Sun Valley.

How much is firewood delivery to Noordhoek?
R495 flat, whether you order two bags or twenty, and the same number to Sun Valley. Hout Bay and Llandudno, on the other side of Chapman’s Peak, are R350 — a nearer zone. The fee for your address appears at checkout before you pay.
Do you deliver to Kommetjie or Capri?
No. Kommetjie and Capri are outside our delivery area, and so are Simon’s Town, Glencairn, Scarborough and Ocean View. Noordhoek and Sun Valley are on the route at R495. Collection is open to everyone at our factory shop, 35 Tredoux Street, Parow — Mon–Fri 08:00–16:30 and Sat 08:00–12:45.
Can your truck get down a long gravel drive?
Usually, and the order notes decide it. Tell us whether there is room to turn at the top, how soft the gravel goes after rain, and where the wood store is. Where the drive is doubtful the driver stops at the gate and carries the bags in.
Can I buy a loose load for the plot?
From October to March. Rooikrans is R800, R1,500 or R2,950 for 250, 500 or 1,000 pieces; blue gum and blackwattle are R550, R1,100 and R2,000. Delivered and offloaded where you say, sold as-is for buyers with covered storage, and no Dry Guarantee. No roof to put it under, order bagged instead.
Is your wood actually dry?
Yes, and we stake 25 years on it. Our bagged wood is seasoned and stored under cover, so it lights properly and burns hot instead of hissing at you. If a bag ever disappoints, tell us and we’ll make it right — that is the Dry Guarantee. Read the Dry Guarantee.
