Delivery to Plattekloof & Panorama
The Firewood Company delivers kaggelhout, braai wood, Namibian hardwood and charcoal to Plattekloof, Panorama, Parow North and Welgelegen for R200 per drop. Deliveries run Monday to Saturday, typically within 1–2 business days. Offloading and stacking the bags included. Collection from the factory shop at 35 Tredoux Street, Parow — Monday to Friday 08:00–16:30, Saturday 08:00–12:45 — costs nothing.
Delivery fee: R200 flat, whatever you order. No minimum.
Delivery days: Monday to Saturday. Typical turnaround is 1–2 business days; in peak winter weeks it can stretch to 2–4. The turnaround for your order is shown at checkout before you pay, and we update it as demand changes.
Cut-off: order by Friday 15:00 to be on Saturday’s run. Later than that, ask — a Friday morning truck sometimes has space, and sometimes it doesn’t.

Plattekloof sits on the southern slope of the Tygerberg, and the houses were built for the view — glass on the bay side, which is also the weather side. When the north-wester arrives in June the ridge houses along Plattekloof Road feel it first, and a closed-combustion unit fed with dense hardwood is the difference between a living room that holds its heat and one that leaks it through the glass. Panorama and Welgelegen sit lower and flatter, older stock with an open hearth and a braai under the pergola, and Parow North fills the ground between them and our gate. Some Plattekloof customers load a bakkie on a Saturday morning and skip the fee; others would rather we carried it up the steps to the wood store, which is what the R200 buys. Either way the wood was processed two doors from the shop, and this is the shortest trip any bag of ours makes.
