Cape Town Firewood – Combo

This firewood combo is a winter’s kaggelhout in one load: 10 bags of blue gum (bloekom) and 10 of blackwattle, 20kg each. The Firewood Company delivers it from Parow across Cape Town, the Winelands and the West Coast, carried in and stacked within 50 m of where the truck offloads. Blue Gum and Blackwattle are the two woods we recommend for a closed-combustion unit, so the whole load suits one.

How to use the two woods together

Light the fire with bloekom, which catches readily, then add blackwattle for more heat and a better bed of coals. In a closed-combustion unit, start it on untreated kindling and one firelighter.
