Rooikrans (Acacia cyclops) is the wood Cape Town learned to braai on. It lights without a fuss, burns hot and gets to coals quickly — boerewors and chops on a Tuesday, with nobody standing around waiting. Ours is harvested in the Western Cape from invasive alien clearing.
It's the pizza-oven and smoker favourite for the same reason: a fast, clean, hot flame. Every bulk bag is seasoned and stored under cover, so what you get is fire, not hissing. Burning it by the bakkie-load? Loose rooikrans comes in 250, 500 and 1,000 pieces from October to March.
Delivered across greater Cape Town, the Winelands and the West Coast for one flat fee per route from R200, the bags carried in and stacked within 50 metres of where we offload, at no extra charge, typically within 1–2 business days.
